Welcome. I wanted to provide stripboard layouts I've made to help people new to electronics and even the more experienced get into different aspects of electronics.

I verify the layouts before I post them.

Simple Sweep Generator Stripboard Layout

A very simple Sweep Generator - it goes through the audible (and beyond) range which is useful for Impulse Response recording and other stuff of course.
it also kind of sounds like one of those woop sirens from sci fi films

  2. i know this is a super old post but ive just built this on breadboard for a bit of fun.
Am i right in assuming the contact between power and the board has to be made by hand? As this is the only way (and super fun way, i might add) i can get it to do anything other than tick. Im not sure if ive gone wrong and made a new toy or if its ment to work like this? When i touch my hand between 9/12v and power it sweeps up and when i leg go, it goes down again. And touching ground or output does fun stuff too!
Either way im super happy with it! Haha

  3. So it turns out id forgotten the 10nf cap. However, ommitting it leaves you with a super fun toy so i think im gonna build it up without and see if i cant piss of the neighbours.

This is the result of omitting C3 (10uf cap over pins and 7) and attaching power to one spike and board power to another.
I also put one on its own ground lead and another attached to the output for some more noisey noise-ness.
